We made a special run of P1D CE's with rare binned and high output Cree LED's. These are Q5 bins which are rated 107-114 lumens at 350ma (versus 81-87 lumens for the P4's). Thats up to a 33% increase in output! The runtime should be same as the non Q5's, but you're getting more light at the same power consumption!
These have a special prototype MOP (medium orange peel) texture reflector to smooth out the beam.
Also, they have a special engraving to indicate it's special and limited production status:
Premium Q5
These are not regularly stocked items. These are only available while supplies last.
he Fenix P1D CE(Cree Edition) is a digitally controlled constant current multilevel flashlight Fenix has to offer. It has five modes: Primary -> Max -> Low -> Strobe Mode -> SOS Mode, which not only allows the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task but also has ability to aid in an emergency. The P1D CE does all this and still retains a very compact size. If youre looking for solid reliability, digitally regulated brightness, and compact size, this Fenix is for you.

very bright and small, on off functions not so greatDec 11, 2009 good:
this thing is super bright
its small
gripes:
the twist on off of the head isn't the greatest and you can accidently switch modes of operation doing this, sometimes not being able to get it to turn on (like if the batt is dying)
it is also kind of annoying trying to get it to tilt up a bit when having it sit on a flat surface while you use your hands
it can get kind of hot, especially when the battery is dying, but then it can be used as a hand warmer :)
Great flashlight but hard to adjust.Nov 08, 2009 This is an excennelt flashlight in terms of brightness and features. My only complaint is that to turn the bezel, it can be stiff. To change modes, it can be hard to turn quickly enlogh to change the mode. Otherwise, it is very versital and can be very bright.

I would have done some things differentlyJul 07, 2009 Overall it's a great light. Nice and bright. There are a couple of things I would have done differently though. My main complaint is that I wish it turned on at the lowest level and then went to medium then high. If you turn a light on in a dark room most of the time all you will need is low and higher than that is just too much light. I could do without the strobe and sos functions and just have the light cycle through low..med..high..low..med..high. Or have a slower flash instead of the strobe to preserve the battery. Also, I don't care for the holster. I would prefer one that completely enclosed the light with a Velcro flap. With the included holster the light is held only by elastic pressure on the sides and elastic will always eventually become weaker. (edit: after using the holster I've confirmed that it's a POS) One other thing. I knew it was black when I ordered it but I'd much prefer a brighter color. To me a light is survival gear and black is just too easy to lose if dropped. Lastly, I've seen mentioned on a forum that the keyring hole has broken on some lights. Looking at it I see that it's pretty thin. I may have more comments after I've had the light awhile.
That's not a knife!May 03, 2009 This light is a coversation piece. It reminds me of the Crocodile Dundee movie where he says "that's not a knife, now this is a knife". Several times I run into flash light show-offs trying to impress friends with the brightness of their flashlight. That's when I pull out this tiny wonder and make their beam disapear in the brightness that this little wonder can throw.
This is a no brainer...
Awesome Light!Apr 28, 2009 This is a great flashlight. I use it as a safety device when I am running or walking at night. The strobe gets peoples' attention. I have had drivers of cars stop me and ask what kind of light it is.. It is compact can be carried in a pants pocket.eb
