 Great light for a very competitive priceApr 21, 2008

As the product description describes; this 2007 version of the OLIGHT T20 is pretty bright at its top 205 lumen level. The descending light levels enable it to provide cumtom light for a brightness that suits the specific needs of the user at the time. (I think perhaps Surefire was one of the first manufacturers to utilize this feature) The different lumens are accomplished by giving the bezel a 1/4 turn clockwise and then reversed a 1/4 turn. With each subsequent turn, the light is diminished to the next available lumen. My only beef, is that you MUST "run through" the lumens from bright to dim. Surefire for example, allows the levels to be accessed from either direction. With the OLIGHT once you've reached the lowest level, the next turn starts at 205 again! I wish it were possible to go in reverse, from dim to bright. Oh well.... the overall effectiveness... long battery life and good contruction make up for the inconvenience. If I could, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars.

Incredibly powerful light output for such a small unit. Has high quality construction and materials. Controls are simple to operate once you get familiar with how to switch modes. Great run time on CR123A batteries or RCR123A rechargable batteries. (I highly recommend investing in 900ma RCR123A rechargable batteries and a charger for daily operation) Included holster keeps this little gem close at hand. It may seem like alot of money to spend on a flashlight, but once you have blazed your way back to your vehicle through the muddy tules or a frozen game trail in complete darkness, you will realize it was worth every penny.

if you are looking for a very bright compact flashlight and do not want to spend too much on one but do not want to comprimise quality, i would say to get this flashlight. at the highest setting it is absolutely blinding. if it is pitch black outside you can very clearly see the beam. it lights up treetops hundreds of feet away. this flashlight also had a very sturdy build- i mean it feels very solid. great flashlight
the only problem is that the batteries can get very expensive, but i will saw that they do last pretty long! also its a little confusing when you first get it, but you will learn to use it properly and love it!

Nice light for the price I paid. I wish it didn't cycle thru the different features by just turning it on though. I have a pressure switch for on my rifle and each time it gets turned on if it's too close together it switches to another mode, as in strobe or s.o.s.
